Under the headline, “The Century Foundation in the United States establishes a website to monitor Iran’s domestic development,” Fars news agency issued the following report:
An American institution called “The Century Foundation” established a website named insideIRAN.org in order to publish news and information about developments in Iran which this foundation refers to as a “crisis in Iran.”
Geneive Abdo, who worked for the Guardian in Iran between 1998 and 2001 and has written three books on contemporary Islamic issues, is in charge of this site.
According to this foundation, due to the difficulty of accessing information about Iran’s domestic affairs, the goal of this site is to present the readers with the most accurate information on Iran’s political turmoil using the best Iranian researchers, journalists, and bloggers from around the globe.
Arash Aramesh is a research associate and translator for insideIRAN.org. He holds an MSc in Comparative Politics and Conflict Studies from the London School of Economics and Political Science and two BAs in Political Science and Middle Eastern Studies from the University of California, Berkeley.
Edith Novy, a research assistant for insideIRAN.org, is an exchange student from Germany in the international politics and foreign policy program at American University.

Geneive Abdo is an author, researcher, and was coordinator of the UN Alliance of Civilizations, a project designed to improve relations between the West and the Muslim world. She has been a reporter on the Middle East and Islamic countries. In her recent book, she focuses on the condition of Muslims in the United States after 9/11.
Abdo is the first American journalist to report from Iran since diplomatic relations were severed between Iran and the United States after the 1979 Islamic revolution.
